I have been renting rooms in my own home for almost 20 years now, so I have pretty much seen it all when it comes to renting a room in your own home.

OK so maybe some weren’t as tidy as I would have liked or some had slightly annoying habits but as long as you are open and get the do’s and don’ts pointed out at the start then it’s probably the easiest way to make some extra money if you are lucky enough to have a spare room or if you are an investor with an HMO (House of Multiple Occupancy).

I have built up many close and successful relationships with my landlords who I have worked with for many years, I have a friendly, open but professional attitude towards my clients and would consider them to now all be friends, some I often meet with for just a catch up and coffee. ☕
