HOW MOVING ROOMS BEGAN & WHY IT BRIDGES THE PROPERTY/TENANT FIND GAP!

I have been renting rooms in my own home for almost 20 years now, so I have pretty much seen it all when it comes to renting a room in your own home.

OK so maybe some weren’t as tidy as I would have liked or some had slightly annoying habits but as long as you are open and get the do’s and don’ts pointed out at the start then it’s probably the easiest way to make some extra money if you are lucky enough to have a spare room or if you are an investor with an HMO (House of Multiple Occupancy).

I have worked in the property sector for over 15 years, working my way up from a Property Manager to a Branch Manager for an independent agency, so there is not much I don’t know about the property industry. I started Moving Rooms because I knew there was a real gap in the market…

“When I first started renting rooms in my home I found it hard to find a suitable lodger, and would get lots of unsuitable lodgers contacting me, some even in the middle of the night! So, I decided to bridge that gap...”

I became the much-needed middleman/woman. I can often tell in a minute if someone is the right match for a room.

Moving Rooms offer a service, which is second to none at competitive rates, most importantly I pride myself on the personal, yet professional service that I give to both landlords and lodgers. I have built up many close and successful relationships with my landlords who I have worked with for many years, I have a friendly, open but professional attitude towards my clients and would consider them to now all be friends, some I often meet with for just a catch up and coffee. ☕
